Kumagoro Oire-Nomi Bench Chisels With Pre-set Hoops

In Japan chisels are routinely sold unsharpened and with loose hoops. But we know many of our customers prefer not to get involved with setting the hoops (though we do provide instructions).This is especially the case for gifts for someone receiving their first set of really good chisels. You want them to start off right away using the tools properly.

After some inquiry we located a shop in Japan that was able to set the hoops on the chisels by machine. These sets are made by Iyoroi and carry his label but not his mark. The chisels are single scooped, shipped sharp, with the hoops set and the red oak handles properly mushroomed – ready to use. Black hand forged forged hoops have been fitted to the handles.

The set comes in a cardboard box. Made in Japan.

The 6 piece set includes the following sizes: 6mm, 9mm, 12mm, 18mm, 24mm and 30mm.
