Osmo Wood Wax Finish

Wood Wax Finish was designed to highlight the beauty of wood grain in a finish that is easy to apply and easy to maintain. How you choose to highlight the wood is up to you: choose a glowing natural look or an intense and vivid color.

Wood Wax Finish is resistant to dirt and liquid stains. You get a breathable but very durable and hard-wearing finish that won’t crack, peel or flake. Wood Wax Finishes can be mixed with each other and with Polyx Oil Original (3054) for a custom color. A final coat of clear Polyx Oil protects the pigments from wear and tear. Once dry, the finish is safe for children’s toys and food surfaces.

Transparent colors allow for the wood’s natural grain and character to remain visible. Use an additional coat of Polyx Oil for flooring and high-tread surfaces, and a second coat of Wood Wax Finish on furniture and joinery for a more intensive color tone.

Intensive colors allow the wood’s natural grain and character to remain visible after the first coat, but disguise the wood’s characteristics with a second coat. Use just one coat of Wood Wax Finish followed by a clear coat of Polyx Oil on flooring to best protect the color. Use a second coat of Wood Wax Finish for an opaque color tone on furniture, joinery and children’s toys.
