This neat stool with its bamboo turned legs dates to the early 1800’s when expanded trade with China influenced the design of Windsor turnings in both England and America. At home in tavern, kitchen, or country store, its size can be varied to suit intended use. H.23, Top 11 dia. This nursing rocker from the hills of South Carolina is low so mother’s knees are high enough to cradle baby better for nursing, but comfortable for almost anyone. C.1790.
